Eddie Murphy reprises one of his most memorable roles in Coming 2 America, the long-awaited sequel to his 1988 smash hit Coming to America.
Set after the events of the first film, former Prince Akeem Joffer is set to become King of Zamunda when he discovers he has a long-lost son that he never knew about in America – a street savvy Queens native named Lavelle.
Honoring his royal father’s dying wish to groom this son as the crown prince, Akeem and and his trusted confidante Semmi set off from the lush and royal country of Zamunda to the borough of Queens NY to meet this unexpected heir and build a relationship with him.
Coming 2 America was originally going to be released in theaters, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rights were sold to Amazon Studios, and it’s now slated to be released on Prime Video on March 5, 2021.
If this movie is anything like the last one, it should be a lot of fun!

Well that was 2 hours of my life that I’ll never get back, talk about a garbage money-grab of a movie. Ugh! At least I didn’t pay to see it, then I’d even be more salty.
