Pricing For 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Has Been Released, And The Want Is Real

2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 pricing released

Last week, Ford revealed the performance numbers for the new Shelby GT500 (760 horsepower and 625 lb-ft of torque), and today they released pricing for this venomous pony. Warning.. it doesn’t come cheap!

Pricing for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 starts at $70,300 (plus destination and gas-guzzler tax), which is significantly more expensive than the ZL1 and the Hellcat, and a few hundred dollars more than the Challenger Hellcat Redeye and Camaro ZL1 1TE.

What’s more, if you check off all of the option boxes, you can get that price north of $90,000. Most of that is thanks to an optional $18,500 Carbon Fiber Track package.

So what do you get for $18,500? The big draw are the 20″ exposed carbon fiber wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires (305/30R20 front & 315/30R20 rear). In addition, you get adjustable strut top mounts, exposed carbon fiber instrument panel, exposed carbon fiber GT4 track wing, Recaro leather-trimmed seats, front splitter wickers, and a rear seat delete.

For another $3,000, you can add the Technology Package, which gets you as 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, 6-way power driver seat, heated mirrors, SYNC 3 with navigation, and Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert.

The last big option is the $1,500 Handling Package, which adds a Gurney Flap to the standard rear spoiler, along with front splitter wickers. This package can’t be combined with the Carbon Fiber Track Pack, though you can add the Recaro seats as a standalone option for $1,595.

Given Ford’s aggressive pricing on the all-new Mustang Shelby GT500, we’re expecting to see some amazing performance numbers to back it up. But seeing as they haven’t released those numbers yet, we’ll just have to wait and see.
