Redesigned Razer Blade Stealth Ultrabook Gets New Looks & Upgraded Hardware

Razer Blade Stealth laptop

Razer has refreshed its ultra-portable 13-inch Razer Blade Stealth laptop, and the new model features thinner bezels, increased battery life, and a new dedicated graphics option that packs enough power should you want to do some gaming with it.

Visually, the Blade Stealth gets a subtle makeover to better look the part of a business laptop, ditching the bright green Razer logo on its lid for a more discreet black tone-on-tone logo that blends into the anodized aluminum body.

Perhaps the most noticeable change Razer is thanks to the new Micro Edge 4.9mm side bezels (60% thinner than before), for a visually stunning edge-to-edge picture. Sadly, the top bezel is still on the bigger side, as they placed an IR web camera there, to avoid awkward shots from below-the-screen placement.

For retina-shattering clarity, the Razer Blade Stealth is available in a 13.3″ 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution with touch functionality. Each laptop display is now individually custom calibrated for amazing color accuracy out-of-the-box. The display is also available in a Full HD matte (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that enhances gaming with full-frame fluid motion graphics. Both models support a 100% sRGB color space.

Despite featuring the same built-in 53.1Wh battery as before, this laptop’s configuration has been optimized for all day use, promising 13 hours of battery life. Advanced thermal system and new power management options have been integrated into Razer Synapse 3 software to maximize battery life, quiet fans in a meeting, or provide full power when gaming.

Speaking of gaming, the Razer Blade Stealth is available with NVIDIA GeForce graphics for up to 4X performance improvement when gaming and editing graphic content. Razer included the more powerful 25W NVIDIA GeForce MX150 4GB GDDR5 graphics, double the memory of similar 13-inch systems. If gaming isn’t a concern of yours, the standard integrated Intel UHD 620 graphics will get the job done, while saving you $200 in the process.

“The Blade Stealth has excelled at being the best productivity laptop on the market,” says Razer co-founder/CEO, Min-Liang Tan. “We pushed the boundaries further by incorporating NVIDIA graphics with up to four times the graphics performance while continuing to keep the system incredibly compact and thin. The results of our efforts have lead Razer to create one of the world’s most powerful ultraportable laptops ever.”

As for pricing, the new line of Razer Blade Stealth laptops will be available in 3 configurations, with a starting price of $1,399 for the base model, $1,599 for the Graphics model, and the top-of-the-line Graphics 4K model coming in at $1,899.

All three models are currently available for purchase directly from Razer’s website.
